Microsoft is shutting down Mixer and partnering with Facebook Gaming

Microsoft is closing its Mixer service on July 22nd and plans to move existing partners over to Facebook Gaming. The surprise announcement means Mixer partners and streamers will be transitioned to Facebook Gaming starting today, and Microsoft will no longer operate Mixer as a service in a month’s time.Microsoft has struggled to reach the scale needed for Mixer to compete with Twitch, YouTube, and even Facebook Gaming which has led to today’s decision. “We started pretty far behind, in terms of where Mixer’s monthly active viewers were compared to some of the big players out there,” says Phil Spencer, Microsoft’s head of gaming, in an interview with The Verge. “I think the Mixer community is really going to benefit from the broad audience that Facebook has through their properties, and the abilities to reach gamers in a very seamless way through the social platform Facebook has.” Microsoft is partnering with Facebook to transition existing Mixer viewers and streamers ov

A resurfaced video shows Jimmy Kimmel laughing as Megan Fox talks about being sexualized at 15, and fans are saying she 'deserved better'

Michael Bay  and late-night host  Jimmy Kimmel  are being criticized after  Megan Fox 's 2009 interview on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" resurfaced on Twitter on Saturday. During the interview, Fox told Kimmel about her first time working with Bay as an extra on the 2003 film "Bad Boys II" when she was 15 years old. She recalled wearing a stars-and-stripes bikini, a red cowboy hat, and six-inch heels — an outfit that she said Bay approved himself. Because she was 15 at the time and couldn't legally hold a drink or sit at the bar during the movie's club scene, Bay came up with an alternative plan. Apple WWDC 2020 keynote: how to watch today’s live stream online

Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is going to be entirely virtual this year, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be some really interesting stuff to see. The keynote will start at 10AM PT / 1PM ET on Monday, June 22nd. #chochaspot_the_home_for_real_time_updates There are a lot of rumors being passed around about what can be expected. While the main focus will probably be on iOS 14, there is a great deal of talk about the chance that Apple is planning to announce a shift from Intel processors to its own custom-designed ARM-based chips. Other possibilities include a new iMac, Apple TV, and / or Apple Watch, not to mention updates to tvOS and macOS. But outside of what is going to be announced, one of the really great things about this year’s #WWDC is that, since it is completely online, anyone can sit in, not only on the keynote, but on the engineering sessions and developer forums as well. Signing Grealish not enough for Man Utd to catch Man City

The former Red Devils winger believes his old side still need three or four players if they are to catch their city rivals Ryan Giggs wants to see Manchester United sign Jack Grealish, but he believes his old side are still “three or four players” away from challenging neighbours Manchester City. Even during City’s own disappointing campaign, they started the weekend 15 points clear of United in the Premier League table. The size of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s rebuilding job is clear and he is expected to be busy in the upcoming summer/autumn transfer window. Grealish has been heavily linked along with the likes of Jadon Sancho and Donny van de Beek. "I mean, if a quality player like that comes available, United are going to be [interested],” Giggs told Premier League Productions of Grealish. "He looks like a United player, he takes the ball, he attracts loads of fouls.” However, what United really need, according to Giggs, is a new striker. Anthony Martial has 16 goals to his na
